Backpacking trip in Yosemite NP

I went on a tune up hike at the local Open Space Preserve early this morning.
It was 80 degrees F at 8:00 when I turned around.

I will be on vacation for most of next week.
I and five other friends will be backpacking a couple of days starting from the valley floor to Tuolomne meadows.

Then Bill, Sherri and Ben will continue on for the next three weeks, 220 miles, along the
John Muir trail to the top of Mount Whitney.

Hopefully I'll be back with some nice pictures.

Bryan, That looks like me last weekend. I went backpacking at Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains. It was gorgeous.

They just might run into my dad and sisters. They left the other day to hike the John Muir trail. They are going to take almost a month to do it. Thats a long hike, hope they all make it out ok.
