Twin Peaks of Mount Diablo

view map

About 30 miles east of San Francisco, these twin peaks were created by geological compression and uplift by converging earthquake faults. The mountain is still growing several millimeters a year.

A nice blue sky day with views of the snow capped Sierras to the east across the central valley.

Very nice view. A friend of mine has some nice shots of this mountain, which I think is a nice peak.
