Powell Gardens: Festival of Butterflies

Over twenty species of butterflies from subtropical parts of the U.S. and Costa Rica make a brief appearance at the Powell Gardens Conservatory for a few days each August. Native Missouri butterflies also freely grace this 915 acre, not-for-profit botanical garden located just 30 miles east of Kansas City.
