January : Raptors and Snow Geese

The most prominant visitors to the January marsh are the snow geese whose numbers can swell to the hundreds of thousands. Raptors - such as Eagles - follow the geese as a food source. Mallards are commonly found ducks found during this time of year. Rare Trumpter Swans also make an appearance.
