New Born!

Missouri

Since last year, I've been watching a nesting pair of Bald Eagles. During the winter, they both started to stay closer and closer to their nest. This is why. With the arrival of Spring, 3 new eaglets joined the family.

I am very, very happy to have gotten a photo. The nest is about a zillion miles away in a restricted area of a Wildlife Refuge. It is impossible to even see a hint of the Eaglets (even when they do peak out of the nest)without a pair of good binoculars. So getting this shot of one of the new babies was quite a coup.

No one can appreciate the difficulty of this shot more than I. I spent half of last summer watching a nest for a handful of shots. Nice capture.
