I never before knew that a "Blue Moon" could be actually blue.
It was a hazy, summer evening when I noticed a bluish ring around the moon.
So I grabbed my camera to shoot a series of 10 photographs.
Three of them ended up looking like this!!!
In two, the haze ring was more blue green, and in 3 more photos, there was a pink tinge around the blue around the moon. In the last two pic, the moon was out of the clouds and looked "normal".
I'm guessing that all this was caused by atmospheric conditions, camera settings, and the changing cloud cover. Nevertheless, it certainly was interesting.
