Furby "with a flair"

I saw am interesting photo effect on a magazine cover some time back & decided to try it with one of my Chihuahua models this week.

With the use of lightening and background and camera technique, I did get the artistic effect that I was looking for.

Spot metering and carefully chosen lighting gave me a "dodged effect" that I was trying to capture in the camera. Yes, the "blown out" areas are deliberate.

Out of camera, post editing included: cropping to a square format and adjusting the contrast.

Liz,
I really like the composition of this photo! The technique is wonderful.....looks like Furby is just popping right out of the shot! You have the most beautiful subjects for your shots, and Furby is no exception to the rule. Such a beautiful dolly baby!!
