I have mixed feelings about his image.
On one hand, I love the beautiful flowers blooming outdoors during the warmer months here. On the other hand, I'm not at all fond of the ready cold weather that will follow Autumn.
We had record setting heat(AGAIN) with temperatures in the mid 90's
and a heat index over 100 degrees.
By this time in September, we are supposed to have more comfortable highs in the low to mid 70's. But if one didn't know that it was September, you'd think we were still in the middle of July. No Global Warming, huh? These unusually high temperatures in the mid 90's (heat indexes over 100 degrees) are supposed to continue at least for another 5 days. That will take us to the last week of September. Very odd.
This Spring, we had below freezing (under 32 degrees F) one day and then up into the 90's two days later where it stayed. We had no real Spring. Things went directly from feeling like the middle of Winter to feeling like the middle of Summer.
Last Fall was also odd weather wise. We never had a proper Fall tempts to signal the leaves to change color. The trees just stayed green as Summer hung on late. Then, the leaves suddenly froze to death as Winter abruptly hit hard & early.
Looks like this area may now only know two seasons: Hot & Cold.
Meanwhile, I'm still enjoying my beautiful flowers. So there is an upside to the story.
