Just last week in a Hallmark store, I saw a new birthday card that originated from this old photo shoot that I did. In hindsight, I now wish I'd bought that card!!!
However, when I first saw the final product, I really didn't like the card a whole lot... Hallmark's art department had taken enormous liberties & had made radical changes to the original photo.
Still, even being grossly Photoshop edited, it was a product of my dog and my efforts. So in hindsight, the card would have been nice to have. It was another finished Hallmark product that featured Zodi. Hindsight is wonderful. I didn't get the card & I may unfortunately never see that card again.
Note the time between when the original photo shoot was done and when that particular greeting card hit production: 15 years!!! Looks like Hallmark is now recycling old photos. Other photos from that same photo shoot have been used for different greeting cards (and gift bags and note cards) over the years. Those were cute. The latest card (thanks to digital editing)is IMO, kind of stupid. Obviously, it is meant to be humorous... And I guess it is. Zodi & I did a lot of other work for Hallmark. This is the first of the finished products that I wasn't happy with. Still, I now wish I had a copy.
A side note about my model, he was a Top Ranked (both in Conformation & in Obedience) AKC show dog; on top of being a paid photography model.
He was also part of my heart.
Although Zodi has been gone about 10 years (He lived to be an old dog), I still really miss him. I always will. You miss most what touches you most.
Zodi touched our lives enormously.
