It was one of those days when you discover a type of butterfly that you've never encoountered before; plus when the lighting works out just perfectly.
Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of butterfly this is.

When I first noticed all the elements of a good photo coming together, I tried to point this all out to a photographer friend who was with me the same day. Only she couldn't really "see" the magic in the lighting that I insisted was there. So she didn't even try to take the shot. Perhaps that was because she was using a different kind of lens.
However, I'm glad I followed my instinct and took the shot.

BTW, the background is natural. I didn't blur or change it. That's just what the lighting gave me. Some days everything just comes together. That was one day.
