Although I have taken thousands of photos of the Roman Colosseum over the years, I liked the lighting on this day.
Plus my having only a limited number of tourists (to spoil the view) was "luck" and a photographer's dream come true.

For those unfamiliar with the Colosseum, there is also the arena floor; plus the underground (where the gladiators and animals were kept) not in this photo.
The Underground can only be viewed with a special guide and is still mostly off limits.
The top (4th Tier) was also recently opened but is still not open to the general public.
Both are worth visiting and can be seen in detail in some of my other photos.
