Peak Fall Color was back in mid October. All the other trees here have either lost their leaves or else are a dried out brown.
I was surprised to find these brightly colored leaves on a little Charley Brown tree next to our driveway. Since first seeing these leaves a few days ago, I have felt they deserved a photo. Then finally, when I had the camera out this evening to photograph the fire in the neighbors' back yard http://www.pbase.com/image/147664055 , this little plant also got it's chance to be in the lime light.
It was dusk, and I used a hand held telephoto lens that I would not normally have used for this particular image. Nevertheless, my need to photograph these leaves has been satisfied.
Admittedly the image isn't noise free, but then the 7D is not a noise free camera in some lighting situations. I did not try to correct that. The photo tells a natural story.
