What Else is in the Water?

Wooden Parking Bumpers

...that have been carried by the fast moving flood.
The current was so fast that it only took 30 minutes for these huge, wooden logs (once nailed in place) to go from close to the River's edge 1/4 mile away, down Main Street, and then onto this side street. Soon afterwards, they floated into Aloe Creek and disappeared from sight.
In addition to "toxic water", rapid currents like these are one more reason why people should not enter flood water. Currents that are fast and strong enough to swiftly carry large, heavy objects like these logs away can easily do the same with a person.
