About 20 Local and State Police officers, a fire engine with several rescue workers, an ambulance and paramedics, three news crews with reporters,videographers, and a helicopter decended on my neighborhood.

Why? A County public works employee was killed two houses away from where I live. He was part of a crew trimming trees. According to the news, an unoccupied, utility vehicle rolled down a hill and struck him. The vehicle than struck an unoccupied excavator. The man was pinned between them. I have photos of all these vehicles but probably will not post them. The incident has left me with sleepless nights. The man was pronounced dead at the scene in the quiet neighborhood I call home. My question is: why was the County trimming trees in our development? Our power lines are underground, and none of the trees are in bad condition to cause a road hazzard. I walk and drive past the scene of the accident daily.
