This British Research Station is also the "local" post office. A very small group of humans live on a tiny island with a large colony of Gentoo Penguins. Often - because of weather -they are isolated from the outside world.
An envelop I mailed on February 22nd (late Summer in Antarctica) with the Port Lockroy postmark did not reach its USA destination until mid June (early Summer here). Talk about a slow boat!!!
