Playing It Safe

Because this guy got frightened and froze, he came close to becoming "not being so safe". Not wanting to see a flat turtle, I moved him to the shoulder of the road. Nevertheless, the next vehicle to come along - a pick up truck - drove extra close to that edge & only missed this fellow by just by mere inches. I'm hoping that he got a little braver and continued off into the grass before another car came along... Luckily the traffic was very light; so he may have.
