Flying Ants

"Just like the wingless red ants, the flying red ants can deliver a very potent sting...Flying red ants should always be avoided since they will use their jaws to get a stable grip and then inject toxic alkaloid venom from the abdomen." Copyright 2006 flyingant.info

This was an unplanned, hand held, very nervously taken, quick shot as these winged things were unexpectely flying all around me. Geesh! It's a good thing that I didn't know about their nasty bite at the time. Their looks creeped me out enough.
