Here's part of a Ford Thunderbird circa 1957, taken at a meeting of T-bird owners held on the pier in Santa Cruz, CA. What I like about this shot is that it was taken with our new 'old' Leica SL reflex camera and 400mm f/6.8 Telyt lens that are both from the same era. Some sharpening in Photoshop was needed but this was not the lens but rather an inability to hold such a long focal length steady with just a monopod. The SL and 400mm lens is simple, light weight, didn't break the bank and is capable of producing very high quality photos irrespective of its age. What's more unlike a digital camera it will still hold its value!
