Almost there.
Last night during the launch and recovery period shortly after sunset, the jets were doing higher than normal altitude turns with the afterburners on around the moon. Since it was dark outside I was out with my 50 f1.4 lens which didn’t quite capture the coolness of what was happening so I chose not to share it. Tonight I was hoping for a little more of the same since the moon was very bright and there was still plenty of light in the sky for my 70-200 f4 but no luck. This aircraft was the first one in the pattern so it broke left at low altitude over the ship.
Almost a very cool photo if the moon wasn’t so blurry. Next time I will stay on the moon and have the jet blurred in the screen.
Big thanks to Tiffany for sending a huge box off goodies with M&M’s, coffee and TP.
