7:52 PM - Lightning over Monument Valley. I joked with Derek earlier "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if these clouds built into a thunderstorm, and it rolled over the valley?" Well wouldn't you know...they did. For the longest time we just sat and watched the fantastic show, then decided to do what we could to capture the lighting in an image. I stacked all I had on the camera (polarizer, 3 stop neutral density filter), and stopped down to f/22 to allow for some long exposures. Upon camera review I didn't see that I had captured a low-contrast lightning strike in this shot, but looking closer on the computer it became evident.
