This was the start of an amazing contact with a small herd of elephants with one very young baby and a "teenager", in the Nature Reserve. They were fully aware of our presence, and after a long discussion between the two adults they decided we were probably not a threat, and passed within 10 metres of us, watching us all the time. Having faced elephants in Africa, it was not easy to take photos - I was shaking so much, but they were very laid back and were quite happy to walk that close, always shielding the baby from us. These are NOT taken with a telephoto lens - that's how close they were.
