people in the streets gathered around radios trying to find out what happened
at this point both towers had fallen and there was a lot of confussion
everyone was walking uptown away from the towers and the police blocked off most of the roads heading down
I joined a volunteer group who were going to give blood the police let us through they gave me a paper dust mask
this was the scene on Broadway near city hall
this was a staging area for the fire dept.
white hot... the firemen took over the staples store on broadway
after shooting a few rolls of film i felt bad for being there and not helping,
so i grabed a shopping cart filled it with 3 cases of poland spring water.
i got as close as i could to the front line handing out water to the firemen
there was an emergency medical triage being set up a few doors down from staples in the lobby of a building
i tried to make myself usefull by helping set up cots for victims but there were no victims or patients.
a lot of people were left scraching their heads that day what happened and why?
