Thank you for visiting our Summer 2004 vacation pictures. Come along with us as we make our way across west Texas and into Colorado. Our first stop is along Interstate 40 at "The Cross" which is approximately 40 miles east of Amarillo. Next, we'll visit beautiful Palo Duro Canyon and the eclectic Cadillac Ranch. From there, we'll mosey into Colorado, travel Scenic 12 - "The Highway of Legends" - to Alamosa, ride the Narrow Gauge Steam Engine Train that begins in Durango, drive the Million Dollar Highway on our way to Ouray, spend a day on a hair raising off-roading excursion that takes us from the valleys to the peaks of those splendid Colorado mountain tops and end the vacation going water rafting, so come along and take a virtual tour with us.
Isn't it wonderful how this medium allows us to travel to places visited and never seen. I spent a week in Durango and up in the mountains hiking in and around Chicago Basin about four years ago. It is absolutely beautiful.
