Jan-Michael, I wouldn't be so cynical about the housing stock. They may not look pretty and they surely are deteriorating, but that's how housing crisis was solved in the 1960s-1970s. And it was not built by the Russians, but by the Armenians themselves using local Armenian architectural designs.
