Very nice gallery Beverly. I found your gallery by "backtracking" through a comment Rian Houston left on my new Big Bend gallery. I was just there in Jan 2006 and it was beautiful. It's amazing to see the different perspective of different photographers on the same place.

Ian thanks for your comments!! First, of all let me say Big Bend is bright and with limited time I always seemed to be out in the afternoons from noon til around 6. The climate is very dry with little haze or humidity most of the time. I also did some minor adjustments in Photoshop Elements as well, but very minor. Thanks again for visiting.

Beverly, you found many more good man-made props for your pictures; however, we do have a few of the same viewpoints.
We were there only a 3 days and did mostly hiking out of the Basin, so I have more landscapes. I'm definintely going to try some of your excellent vantage points next time. I'm still working on getting sharp images. This is the first trip that I used a light tripod and took RAW images. Everything takes more time, but I am encouraged by some of the pictures.
Are you planning on returning to Big Bend soon?

Thanks, Kent! The church is located in Lajitas, Texas near Big Bend National Park it is the San Maria y San Jose Mission. The light was terrible the day I was there, but it's still always a beautiful spot to visit.

Very nice gallery. I was just there in Big Bend in Feb. of this year. Where did you find the church? It looks like a potential for many good photographs.
