Monarch

Bonnie Carrie Spillway

I am starting to get the hang of shooting butterflies. The most important thing is patience and wait till they stop moving Ha Ha.

Very nice Brekland and I agree with Scott. The muted tones of the BG sure displays his colors well.
J. Scott Coile25-Nov-2005 16:49
That BG is perfect for the Monarch Breland! Just enough light to bring out the beautiful color and details!

nice capture with nice detail, I know what you mean, I have a hard time waiting and when they finally do stop I do not like the comp. lol

Wow! Here it's snowing and there isn't a butterfly in sight.
Karen Stuebing25-Nov-2005 11:33
This one is perfect. I spent an entire summer shooting butterflies and got about 20 keepers. I'm now in the process of learning how to shoot birds which has similar problems. Great deep color and detail.

Stunning color, light, and detail......beautiful.
Cindy Flood25-Nov-2005 01:47
Very sharp, clear and colorful. Now you can breathe.
petesie25-Nov-2005 01:41
And don't breathe, don't blink your eyes, don't swallow, don't make a sound or let them see your shadow......do all of the above and you may get a shot once in a while. (I'm not kidding, either.) No nectar in those twigs, I guess he was sunning himself. Beautiful one, Breland.
