The ENI V-700 is a portable, battery-powered, transistorized survey meter with a regulated power supply using a stainless steel, halogen quenched D-101 Lionel Geiger-Mueller tube as the detector. This extended range unit has three operating ranges (X10, X100 and X1000) and uses 4 D-cell batteries. The probe is made of a nickel plated brass housing with open and closed positions to monitor both high energy beta radiation or low energy gamma radiation.

This special tube was intended to meet the void between the low level CD V-700 and the high range of the CD V-715 and V-717. The extended range CD V-700 covers 0-500 mR/hr and the standard counter is 0-50 mR/hr.
