"Madrid Arena", as it was called before the owners decided to rename it clumsily "Madrid Torres Business Area", is the urbanistically daring experiment of building on the —before not overly attractive— northern outskirts of Spain's capital city four high-rise office buildings (between 223 and 250 meters tall), designed by internationally famous architects: the US-American Henry N. Cobb; Carlos Rubio & Enrique Álvarez-Sala (the only ones "playing" here on "home-turf"); the naturalized US citizen born in Argentina César Pelli; and, last but not least, the Englishman Sir Norman Foster. The skyscrapers were built between 2004 and 2009.
