This was quite an exciting outing for me as it's my first chance to use my new Nikkor 17-55 2.8. It certainly seems to have the edge over my Nikkor 18-70 3.5-4.5 and also attracted attention from other photographers due to it's impressive size! The extra weight of this lens takes getting used to and I can see myself developing new muscles, but now I have got used to pro Nikkor glass it would be difficult to go back to my kit lens.

Every shot in this gallery is handheld using avaliable light only which is one of the main reasons I got this f2.8 lens.
