I've always been interested in using prime lenses and like the compact light weight compared with heavy zooms. The full frame sensor of the D700 works very well with the 50mm focal length. I use View NX2 for browsing files and Capture NX2 for editing. I use the 21.5" HP ZR22w screen for editing which is ideal as it has 1920x1080 resolution and an IPS panel capable of displaying 8 bit colour (much better than a TN panel which only has 6 bit colour). The background of this gallery is 50% grey (Hex #808080) as it is easier on the eyes than black or white.
