My wife and I took our first-ever hot air balloon flight on June 6th 2006. We took off at 7.30pm local time and enjoyed fine views over the Wiltshire countryside for about 1 hour. Visibility was quite good although there was some haze when we ascended to the maximum height of 4,000 feet. All 16 passengers were asked to 'volunteer' to help with the preparation for the flight and packing up the balloon after landing.
