On July 14, a wildfire started in Kings Canyon about a mile west of our house. These photos are our view of the fire. We were very fortunate - the fire burned up to our back fence and our only real problem is lots of smoke and ash. Others above us and in other parts of Carson City lost their homes. This was one of the most agressive and erratic fires I've seen in nearly 40 years of wildland fire fighting and managing fire programs. These pictures are our personal view.
