the danger of cross-site scripting. Thus, the
original slideshow is gone for good.
As a child, I dreamed to be an architect, an
artist or a story writer. I grew up to
realize all I had were dreams. Born by
under-privileged parents from a remote
village, I worked and study to finish a
degree, any degree I could take for that
matter, without drawn-out plans for the
future.
I always wish I had a camera to capture and
freeze the moments I considered precious. My
wish, however, doesn't come early nor easy.
I had my first analog SLR camera at the time
when it was hard for me to figure out the
difference between shutter and aperture, the
correct combination of both, and the depth
of field that I had to remember before I
point and shoot because of old age. My right
and left brain lobes were fighting whether I
would go symmetrical or follow the rule of
the thirds. Day by day, little by little,
the issue of composition was becoming less
painful with the coming of the digital
cameras mainly due to crop and a little
software manipulation. Yet, after more than
two years of shooting and playing the
pictures I took in my computer, I have yet
to produce that eye-popping, jaw dropping
photographs I used to see here in PBase.
At any rate, I have my pictures posted for
families and friends to see. If you happen
to drop by on a wrong turn, don't let your
jaw drop and eyes pop: it's ILLEGAL.
NEWS:
June 22,
2007 -- Sheila and her family visited us
(click
here to see the gallery). It was a good
chance to test my camera again since I was
not shooting that much after the wedding.
The shooting condition was quite difficult
because of harsh light that day.
May 20, 2007 -- It's Ed and Cris wedding
(click
here to see the gallery). Time to
test my 5D under a low light shooting
situation.
May 8, 2007 -- I'm back and with my new
Canon 5D camera. I was waiting for
MKIII to
be released but it seems Canon is not
releasing the MKIII soon. I am afraid
I will loss the money intended for the
camera before Canon release their newest
DSLR. Besides, my niece's wedding is
coming soon and I need a new camera.
April 2,
2006 -- It was a long and hard struggle
customizing the photo gallery. All the
while I thought it could not be done.
My HTML tables were hard to control to work both on
Internet Explorer and FireFox. I resorted
implementing my menu on Flash and was not
satisfied with the font only after I
finished everything (sigh).
I went back
to the drawing board and reviewed my CSS
which I suspected the source of my HTML
woes. Indeed, it was--that darn CSS
monster.
All
galleries are done by now. What left
are the sub-galleries and the uploading of
other photos on my family album.
March 19,
2006--The songs played in this site were
dynamically assigned using static array
(meaning the songs are not included in the
SWF file but the array assignment was
hard-coded within the file). I want a
dynamic array where the assignment of values
to that array will be retrieved from a text
file which, in effect, I can add, delete,
change the songs played by the SWF without
recoding, recompiling and uploading the SWF
file again. WOW! I can't believe it could be
done. After several days of Internet
searching, I was able to find a tutorial to
do it.
NOTE:
I wonder if the code will place unwanted
load to your CPU. Just in case it does,
please notify me in my guestbook. I also
plan to dynamically load jpg files into the
"movie" instead of a static one. I
hope you enjoy your visit in my gallery as I
enjoy tweaking and learning the action
script in Flash.
March 11,
2006--I decided to put a simple flash.
Got to read some books on how to do it. :D
March 10,
2006--After 3 days and nights battling
with CSS and HTML, I am now contented with
my Root Gallery. I will worry about Flash
later if I have time. Meanwhile, I can now
go back to my usual routine.
LATEST WORKS:
I stopped
working on my PaD. Now, that was the
latest work I stopped working on. LOL!
It was good that Kurly, my niece, send some pictures
from Iloilo. I think she is enjoying
her first ever camera, the Kodak Z700 dig
cam.
