1/8 - Through the Mist

Marriott Santa Clara, CA view map

I kept passing this scene walking to and from my hotel room. It was so rainy and wet in the Bay area
that the moisture just hung in the air giving the high rise buildings around my hotel a eerie feeling.
This is one of those photos that makes you regret trusting your light meter. Usually mine is spot on
but in this case it seriously misread the amount of light available or adjusted for it, not sure which,
leading to a photo that was and remains seriously brighter than the actual scene.

Over the next couple of days I will be playing catch up with my PAD as I had time to shoot but not
post this week while off at training.

Glad to have you back. Quite frankly, I like the effect of the exposure.

you have the knowledge of knowing what the scene looked like. I've enjoyed it for what it is, a very mysterious and intriguing image.
