For years I have spent Memorial Day Monday at Scarborough Faire, first as a patron, then as cast and
now as cast alumni. This was shot at the 6pm joust, known for years has been the Royal Joust because
this is the show the King and Queen, along with the English court, attend.
It was a fine show this year although I have to admit to missing the days of real jousting at Faire
when the winner was not known to the knights in advance, points were kept and there was a very real
chance of someone being removed from the horse in an uncontrolled and unscripted manner.
This is Vertical Month for some of us PADers. Check out who is participating at either
David Clunas's May PAD page or Bob Floyd's Vertical PAD Topic.
