On Sabtang island, in the town of Sinakan, I shot some stone houses, complete with tiny doors and windows. These were the stone houses we've seen in photographs. Stone houses were introduced during the Spanish period. At that time, everyone lived in wooden houses in the highlands, away from the wind. The Spaniards gathered everyone from their mountain homes and relocated them small open plains beside the sea, thus the need for better-constructed homes.
There were school children passing by. I got the impression they've been trained to pose for photos!
