Raindrops and dewdrops. Looking closely at raindrops on a flower, I could see the reflection of a portion of my house and garden, upside down. Probably how the notion of a lens was developed. Next chance I get, I will have Irene pose in front and see if can catch her reflection. British painter David Hockney contends artists of the 17th century discovered that a mirror could reflect an image (upside down) into a darkened room and onto a canvas.
