great photos i see. but someone told me it's very impossible for them there due to lack of job. my seven years here in tagaytay was great but when the time comes i'll go back to my home land and my plan is to walk and the mountain iraya actually its a volcano but its not active to those who want to visit batanes the family of gato is giving you a big welcome i'm sure you will nerver be disapoint.

gato is a spanish word sins the spaniards attack the phillipines they started to bare their siblings and now im a a part of that 2002 was my first visit in batanes i was grade 2 when you live in batanes you will start to learn to live in a simple way 2004 when i live batanes and its been 7 years but still batanes is still a paradise im glad they have maitain the beauty of my home''kap wan kamu nu dyios''

Hello , there are many homestay lodges as well as good hotels ....Batanes Resort...Seaside Lodge ....Fundation Pacita ...If you need a contact person use Chico Domingo from Dive Batanes . He owns the Dive company and can put you in touch with all services . www.divebatanes.com ..tel....639284961105..P.S. The diving in Batanes is awesome and Chico runs a great Dive company ...He has great gear and knows all the dive sites and has access to the Marine Sanctuary...all of Batanes is wonderful.

i was browsing for info regarding batanes and came across this site. wow!!! fabulous place, well captured in film! it reminded me of a place equally beautiful, scenic places along coastal highway 1 from monterey to sta. monica (big sur). thank you for sharing. i can't wait to see batanes for myself the next time i come home. amelynn

Wow, these are really great photo's! I've been planning to go to Batanes and Im a start up photographer, I just bought my first dslr a canon 450d with the kit lens...if i go there will my lens and camera do the job? what should i bring and prepare for the trip to take great pics like yours? i only have a cheap tripod too...hehehe they said "an expensive camera does'nt eman greater pics" I hope you can help me out...please email me tips where i can learn photography? my email address is paolo.dacanay@gmail.com , i do hope you can help me out...many thanks!

Ayan na nga ba sinasabi ko. Ang ganda ng Pilipinas. Kung hindi lang ako ang palaging tinutuligsa ng mga kalaban ko sa pulitika, eh di lalo sanang maganda ang Batanes. Eto din kasing mister ko palagi akong binubuwisit, kung anu-ano tuloy ang nagiging problema ko kaysa atupagin ko ang development ng turismo sa Pilipinas, puro huweteng tuloy napagtutuunan namin ng pansin. hay naku!

Batanes is one of the wonder in photography that our foreign tourist really admire and missed but it is more appreciated if were going to show some shots taken from "at air, at sea, at the peak of Mt Iraya and from adjacent island with peak mountain overlooking the nature and populated areas in it".

Am just too glad that Batanes is still a part of the Philippines, otherwise we would have lost the best and most beautiful isles of the orient... Live a Life. Look up north, Experience Batanes. (Just got fr Batanes after a 4-day adventure of a lifetime there)

just got back from a 5day trip in batanes..batanes is like no other place in the phils.!.it is comparable to pebble beach/carmel CA and hawaii and more!.the place is picture perfect!it has an awesome coastline and breathtaking views of nature.it is indeed a paradise or haven for photographers and tourists...imagine the fantastic images of the sea,mountains,animals,lighthouses,ivatan homes,waves,cliffs,sunset and the infectious smile of its wonderful people! i definitely swear by its amazing beauty ! batanes will live forever in my memory.

Hey Bobby! Your Batanes shots were super. I'm glad you had a great trip up there. At about that same week, I was having a great time also in Tucson and Quartzsite earlier. Picked up many new pieces of dino bone and poop and other fossils that you can produce gorgeous photos of. The Madagascar carnelians and agates will be quite wild. Will bring most of it back on the next trip, which has no scheduled date yet. Larry Gotuaco in SF on March 1 2006
