Wieliczka Salt Mine

15 km southeast of Krakow, the World Heritage listed Wielczka Salt Mine had been in operation for over 700 years. Tourists descend as deep as 135m below ground and view numerous carved statues, monuments and the Chapel of Saint Kinga.
