Lake Nakuru is a shallow lake in the Rift Valley that attracts thousands of flamingos and pelicans and provides refuge for rhinos.

My teenage daughter is in Nakuru this summer. It brings tears to my eyes to see how beautiful and vast this place is. Truly, a blessing for one in her youth to have the opportunity to see such majesty! Thank you for letting me see a glimpse of where my darling daughter is working this summer! Fran - Raleigh, NC

I was a National Serviceman stationed at Nakuru attached to the Kings African Rifles from July 1954 until Jan !955 and still remember the sight of the flamingos.

Thanks for an amazing journey down memory lane! I was also born and raised in Kenya and altho have visited there fairly recently, did not manage to get to all the places you did, so you have helped to fill lots of gaps. My grandaughter has to do a project on Kenya and your pics, many of which I've saved for her, will help enormously to put the country into perspective. Happy safe travelling :-)

I was born and raised in the beautiful, simple city of Nakuru...your pictures paint a vivid picture, bringing back a flood of precious memories now that i`m miles away...thanks and great work in paying homeage to my hometown :-)

It' nice to see Nakuru again after so many years,i was stationed at Nakuru with the Kings African Rifles in 1954,we used to go down to the lake, it was just over the hill from our camp. It was not a national park in those days, but we saw some very good sights that are still in my mind today.George.E.A. Nicholls.
