All renditions in this gallery are done using nothing but the Xero Filters. These can be downloaded for windows, sorry Mac users, at http://www.xero-graphics.co.uk/
There are four sets of FREE filters there!
each rendition will be credited to the "handle" of the person that contributed to the challenge I started at WC, or to the photo contributed. Please vote for what you like! :-)
Very interesting work indeed, I like these filters too. Yet, unlike you, I never have any clue on what I am going to end with :-), it just goes by itself. Thanks for comments on my "Alcoholic" gallery, please check often , this is just started :-)
I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do before I start. This, however, comes from being familiar witth the filters, having a fairly good idea of what each will do in combintion with the others. The way I worked this challenge is that everyone will use nothing but Xero filters on pictures donated by each other. And they will work on each others pictures. These are fairly powerful filters, so there is usually a dramatic change with each application. The baest way to figure out what you want to do and learn the filters is open up a pic, pick a filter at random and go from there. This is just a point and click challenge, but one that has come up with some fabulous work. I have restricted the use of any other filters or photoshop filters. only Brightness/contrast adjustments and cropping where they feel it is needed.
These are VERY COOL, Michael! How do you decide which filters to use? Do you have it all mapped out before you start or just apply one and go on from there? Good stuff!
