Sewing Desk Gallery
11/2/09-Someday, this will be a beautiful sewing desk. You see it, don't you?
11/15/09-Sewing desk. I got started on the 2 boxes. The top is just there to give the "big picture".
1/17/10 - The face frames have been added to the sewing desk.
2/16/10 - Trim has been added to the sides. The left box will get drawers and you can see the shelves on the right box.
3/7/10 - The desk is moving along. This finish is Watch Danish Oil Medium Walnut. The 2 shelves are also shown.
3/29/10-Cutout the opening in the top. The plate in the middle will hold the new sewing machine.
3/29/10-The drawer sides and bottoms.
3/29/10-One drawer finished.
3/29/10-Close up detail of the box joints.
3/29/10-Honey, the desk is done. Don't mind those opening on each side. Ventilation for the drawers!
3/29/10-The new sewing machine.
3/29/10-Frank.
4/20/10-Well, here it is. The mostly completed sewing desk.
4/20/10-This is the machine at "working" height. I still need to make a filler plate for the cutout.
4/20/10-This is the machine at "storage" height. I also still need to make a cover.
4/20/10-The rear leaf adds 24" of depth.
4/20/10-Close-up detail of the drawer handles.
