To me this image evokes the feeling of our place in the world as it turns. We are kind of on the edge, the colours represent the freshness and youthful energy of New Zealand comparative to older colonial powers in Europe. The white lined ridges symbolise our influence on the world and how we have embraced the earth, and how we have become involved in its protection, we are different, there is colour and richness across the divide.
