i'm heading over sunday the 22nd. i don't usually skate tranny because there's none of that where i live, so i usually skate sets or gaps. i was just wondering if i'd be an annoyance to the locals if i wasn't doing so well, as long as i didnt snake or anything

Locals are mostly friendly. They mostly have a problem with bikers who dont pay for the building of the park, mess it up with their pegs,and crash into skaters. Face it there are assholes in all walks of life.

I would just like to say - FDR is one of the most expressive - fast parks I have ever been to. It is a shame some clown had to come ruin it for the families that were enjoying it. GRAB A BROOM OR GO HOME! You sir are the reason skaters get a bad name! When we arrived there were some "new breed" skaters and tons of trash to go aloing with it! We took time to clean some of it up, discuss dropping off some concrete bags. Just to have our day and several others day crashed by your actions. BIKERS GRAB A BROOM OR GO HOME! - Being a skater when I was younger and spending several hours with people I did not even know to work on that site severl times I feel for you! Now years later I picked up a bike and was having a blast remembering my past and sharing it with my son and his best friends. And just when I was able to convince them not ALL skaters are dicks like that - you come along! Oh and the best part is all you did was sit on the top flat and billow orders to everyone - PICK UP YOUR OWN BROOM AND MAYBE A TRASHBAG TOO!? Signed an Architect a skater and a BIKER...... Andrew its not about the pegs and taking your turn its about the magnitude or a collision between a bike and a skateboarder.....Bikes go way faster and weight much more. i see to many time a skater and bike collide and the skater is left bloody or hospitalized, the biker without a scratch. so respect our park and ride at your our risk...Ps I'm that 10%

To all bikers, blades, and scooters, there are rules just like any other place in life. Don't swim in the deep end if ya know you can't swim!!! if there is a session going on, don't think about it. The locals will get pissed because then it becomes a jousting match and too many people get hurt, i've seen it too many times. The morning and evening times are best for you guys or if there only a few skaters there. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

FDR is definitely one of the sickest parks in the country. Haven't skated it for almost 5 years but hope to get my shred on in 2 weeks. Crossing my fingers it doesn't snow or rain me out for the 4th year in a row!

I love this place, and I feel that this is probably the most distinctive park on the east coast, maybe in the world. FDR has a personality that is gritty and dangerous, and I feel it embodies what skateboarding should always be about, underground and DIY. Fuck all the plastic parks and Maple Shade-esq skateparks of the world, this is what skateboarding is about. Oh yeah, and if you don't want to piss someone off, don't bring your bike to FDR chump. Stay in Maple Shade if you want to ride concrete, no one will miss you here. FDR was made by skaters for skaters, and it's going to stay that way. PPS: those Jihad FDR shirts are fucking gnar. The AKs with the PA keystone is a sweet ass design. Get some all over prints in the mix, I know I'll pay more for one.

Right on Emily. The locs at FDR are cool, no wories there. People do need to get together to sweep up more. The only concern is the young kids at the park during the day. They cause more injuries to skaters. It's a fucking babysitting service! The parents are dropping these kids off and leaving or there getting high in the parking lot. I'm constantly arguing with the parents of these kids cause they send them into 50 skaters ripping in the park. It's like letting them loose in traffic for Christ sake! Other than that, game on

i just started riding this park again for the first time in six years... its better than ever, i love the new section and various new stuff (with the exception of the boob in front of the pillar). many thanks to all the people who help fund/build this place. ps. i dont understand what the controversy is with bmxers being there... seriously i haven't seen a single rider grind or stall anything during the last 5 times ive been there, people need to just come together and enjoy it together, we all share a common interest.

FDR is a great place to skate- mainly for skaters but some bikes come in occasionally. Theres really no tension-aslong as you stay out the way of more experienced skaters. I skate there alot but i kinda go unoticed, just mellow out by myself. I love how the park changes phsycally over the years.....skater chicks as long as u can keep up with top notch dudes like me-we give you all the props and respect u need. BMX ppl- keep doin wat u do.

FDR park is the gnarliest park this side of the east coast. It is a rough park to skate if your not a tranny dog. The dudes there are all really rad, even the old heads who clean it up and drink beers and skate. As long as you dont step out of line(cut in front of people, act like an ass, or take your turn out of line). Shits tight at FDR. Next time your there try to keep it clean and set off a chill vibe. And skate cause you love it, not because your good at it.

i wanted to thank all the skaters that were at fdr on 2/10/08 during the day. i was there with my 9 year old nephew and all of you were incredibly rad to him and even helped him out a few times. no one gave him shit for being the tiniest dude dropping in or occasionally getting in your way as he navigated the concrete. it was his first time there and he was in awe. it made me happy and proud that he did so well and was able to build his confidence. thanks again and i'll be bringing him back in a few weekends. cait and ike

I am GOOD at digging ramps, hell i've got an entire terrain park in my folks' back yard in my home town, and the whole thing was dug by hand. If the bikers know their place down there and aren't jerkoffs then there is never a problem at the park. It's when these kids come in and think they own the place that skaters have taken years of work and cash out of their own pocket to build. Very few bikers have ever picked up a shovel or piece of trash down there. They just take from the park. Pitch in and it will go a long way towards keeping some peace down there. I don't know how many times me or another skater has pointed to the large dirt piles down at FDR and told a biker to build their own.

I hit FDR today for the first time. This place is SICK!!!!! many ways to get served....the new 13' bowl is not for pussies...by far the gnarliest place ive skated in my 32 years skating-the locals were mad cool (whats up Rick!) i highly recommend this place-for skaters by skaters one love-Davey Mourning BFL

I haven't been to the park since October, but when I was there, the new construction was in full swing. Everybody was helping out; you just get this feeling of helping make it a better place for yourself and your bros. I bet the new construction's all done by now, though. Affirmative on the roll in and hips. I live in Wilmington, Delaware, so the trip up isn't bad. Other people in Delaware should drive me there. Just go skate. -Jonathan

If you have never been there you have got to go. They added a roll in bowl and they added some new hips its really smooth and theres so many lines you can hit there.Representing for the HANGMAN skate team of West Philly I'm out. Catch you later at FDR
