Corpus Christi is a huge celebration in Cusco. Life-size Santos are carried from all of the city's churches to the cathedral, where they "sleep" for a week, and then are taken back home. For days the streets are crowded with saints, bystanders, marchers, bands, dancers, and clowns; and every night is a party.
