Kolea (myrsine)

Kolea is a very common tree in wet and mesic forests. There seem to be a few varieties. It's usually seen as a rather boring small dark green plant, but eventually grows into a large tree. The new leaves of some varieties can have dramatic pigmentation, while others have just a dull mottled pink or red.
