In 2009 I made two trips to the Nature Conservancy's Waikamoi Preserve on Maui, and adjacent areas of Makawao Forest Reserve and Haleakala National Park. The first was a short scouting trip, and the second was the two week Waikamoi Rare Bird Search in September 2009. I'm slowly assembling this photo gallery of Waikamoi Preserve out of hundreds of photos I took. There will be few scenery photos since I didn't bring my wide-angle lens on the trip and we were working hard all day without time for photos.
