This was a fairly large tree, perhaps 30m tall and a trunk 0.5m diameter, with grey-pink bark. I'm guessing it's melicope hawaiensis, based on the fact that similar melicopes scattered throughout Kipuka Puaulu are tagged "MH-nnn".
