M 88 and M 91

M 88 (on the left) belongs to the Virgo Cluster of galaxies. M 88
is a good example of a multiple-arm spiral galaxy, with numerous
dust lanes defining the arms. The galaxy on the right is M 91, a
beautiful example of a barred spiral, with older yellow stars near
the center, and younger blue stars along the arms.
