White Oak, Daffodils and Blue

These daffodils were growing in a wooded field near the old Fighting Creek area. I suspect that they were planted a very long time ago.

Beautiful flowers.
Or someone had also planted one piece of it and they multiplied through the years. :)) That was just my thoughts hehe.. sometimes photos can create stories.

Beautiful image Buz, well done!

Chances are a bird dropped a single bulb at some time & as they do the daffs just multiplied. The tree sure has been there a long long time !!

Massive tree, Buz
Must be on state land to be still standing
Lovely image

I HIGHLY disagree with Kess; the huge oak is obviously your focal point & a magnificent one at that, as Coleen pointed out 8^D I may've toned down the colour just a bit on everything but the tree, personally, but I think it's a great image!

Wonderful lighting on this magnificent white oak. Nice sky in the background.

Beautiful image! Wonderful find!

thats one old tree and those flowers were probably planted almost 100 years ago. I'll bet it was open pasture all around that tree 80 years ago and that tree was all alone. Very nice find.

Beautiful shot Buz, just the kind of scene that you love to find around old home steads and the only way you know it is when you find flowers like these coming up every spring. GMV

A rainbow of magnificent colors! Shame I can only vote once!

The tree and the daffodils. The dafs dont really make a main focal point in the image. The shot is more about the tree. The other trees are unfortunately too distracting for my comfort as they are brighter than the chunky one. They attract more attention than the dafs and the main tree.

That tree is wonderful and I love the idea of the daffodils that were planted a long time ago.

All my favorites. Blue sky, yellow daffodils and a rustic old tree. A perfect picture.
